Shanghai Masses Art Gallery Here you may have a 360 panoramic view of Shanghai Masses Art Gallery and following is its brief introduction: Shanghai Masses Art Gallery was built in December 30, 1956,with 55 years history, and covers 17,300 square meters. Due to historical reasons, this museum has been moved for 16 times. In June 2001, it moved to the present location (the former Shanghai Opera School) and in 2006 the municipal government approved the expansion and transformation of the museum in the situ. The new museum serves people as the place of carrying out public cultural and art activities, such as culture creation, training, events, theoretical research work etc. Various exhibition and activities of music, dance, drama, quyi, calligraphy, photography, art etc are held every year.
